Advanced - Permitted Countries

Advanced Sales features are available for account plan Advanced and above.

By default, products in your shop can be bought from all countries worldwide. If you wish to only allow purchases from certain countries, you can create a Permitted Countries list.

If you have several shop websites in the same account, you can create multiple Permitted Countries lists and select the appropriate one for each website.

Enabling Permitted Countries

From the Dashboard go to Settings.

In Settings choose the Sales tab where you will see the advanced sales options.

Toggle the Shipping Permitted Countries switch to the on position and click Update.

Creating Permitted Countries list

Once you've enabled it in the Settings, you will see a Permitted Countries tab in Sales.

Go to Sales from the Dashboard or the main menu.

In Sales click the Shipping > Permitted Countries tab. Click the Create button. Give your list a name and click Create.

Once your list is created click the Manage button to add countries. Click on a country to select it.

Hold down the Shift key to make a selection of several countries. Hold down the Command (Mac) or Control (Windows) key and click on countries to select multiple.

Once you've made your selection, click the Save button.

Connecting to a website

Once you've created a Permitted Countries list, you can select to use it on a shop website.

From the website screen, go to the Sales tab. Select you Permitted Countries list and click Save.

The website checkout will now let customers choose only from your list of allowed countries.
